PIIT won Mumbai University Zone-IV Chess title at JSM College, Alibaug
The winners of Mumbai University Zone-IV Chess Champion - PIIT
The team led by Second Year M.E. student Mr. Yogesh V. Kene of Pillai Institute of Information Technology won the Raigad Zone of Mumbai University Chess Tournament held at JSM College, Alibaug on 11th August, 2014. Team PIIT was represented by Yogesh V. Kene (ME-II year), Karad Kuasar (BE-ETRX), Aditya Singh (TE-MECH), Sarvesh G. Rao (SE-ETRX), Unnikrishnan R.P. (BE-IT) and won all the matches they played including the semi-finals against a strong CKT College and also won against GM Vedak College Tala, in the finals.
