"Monsoon Football Fiesta" - an open 5-a- side prize money football tournament organized by Mahatma Education Society Sports Control Board, received overwhelming response across the city. The tournament was held on 20th July, 2013 at Multi-functional outdoor sports complex of Dr. K. M. Vasudevan Pillai Campus attract 28 teams from Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Raigad. The tournament was a great experience for young footballers of the state to feel the joy of soccer on a rubberised Poly urethane turf.


In an interesting final White Magic FC-Vashi beat Pillai Stars-New Panvel in a tie breaking score (7-6). On their way to the finals the teams White Magic beat Pillai Engineers (4-3) in a tie breaker in the first semi-final. In the second semi-final Pillai star beat Kalamboli FC by a score of 1-0. Winning team was awarded Rs. 10,000/- cash prize and a winner trophy. The runners-up team also awarded with cash prize of Rs. 5,000/- and runners-up trophy. Mr. Pankaj Singh gives away the prizes in the victory ceremony.
