Mahatma Education Society's Pillai HOC Educational Campus has organized a Mini Marathon at Pen on 20th December, 2015 to stress the need on Unity and Humanity among all sections of the society with a slogan "Run for Humanity". A massive crowed mostly students and youths in thousands participated in the Run. The Marathon was conducted in 8 categories of 5 km, 7 km and 10 km.

It was the second consecutive yearly marathon happening at Pen, the entrance of Konkan. Cash Prizes, Certificates and Trophies were awarded to the winners of all the categories by Mahatma Education Society. The race started from Pen Municipal Stadium and went towards Khopoli by pass and return to the stadium after passed through various token points.

Police officer in-charge of Pen circle Mr. Ashok Jagdale gave away the prizes in the presence renowned personalities and sports persons of Raigad district. Earlier in the morning at 7:30 a.m., Dr. Lata Menon, Deputy CEO, Pillai HOCL Educational Campus, Rasayani Flagged-off the race in the presence of many distinguished sports persons. Principal Dr. Chelpa Lingam, Pillai HOC College of Engineering and Research., Public Relation Officer Mrs. Nivedita Shreyans and Principal of various Pillai HOC Campus Colleges and the schools around Pen were present during the entire proceedings of the event. Cash awards and prizes, of more than lakhs of rupees were awarded to the winners.

Dr. Lata Menon, Dy. CEO of Pillai HOC Educational Campus said - The response from the people as a whole was tremendous and encouraging for the thousands participated in the run from Pen and different part of the State and it was beyond our expectation.
