Vaishnavi keeps the Pillai High at National Power Lifting Championship
Ms. Vaishnavi Pawar, 11th Std. student of Pillai HOCL School made the entire Pillai Group of Institutions as well as Raigad District and Maharashtra State proud by winning Bronze Medal at School National Power Lifting Championship held at Pune on 23rd January, 2017. A total of 207 kg Wt. lifted by Vaishnavi, that leads her to achieve this medal hunt. Earlier on the 1st week of January she represent Raigad in State School Power Lifting Championship and came with a Gold Medal winning performance which held at Adersh Nagar, Worli, Mumbai. She won the highest rank in state 72-84 kg. weight category by lifting a total weight 205 kg. and beat the nearest rival from Aurangabad who lifts 195 kg. This is the first medal and victory achieved by the school in the Power lifting sports. Vaishnavi Pawar is trained by the Pillai HOCL School Sports teacher and Power lifting coach Mr. Siddharth Shinde. Since she has one more year in the same category she will continue to train at HOCL School gymnasium for achieving the best in next championship.
