Mahatma Education Society's Sports 2013-14 starts with a bang, where in the first event of the current academic year, the prestigious staff football league conducted on 14th July, 2013 at Dr. Pillai Global Academy, New Panvel. The Mahatma Education Society's staff members shown the way to the students by participating in large numbers in the football league cum knock-out tourney.

Earlier in the day all the teams assembled near the stage where the photo of late Mr. Freddrick D'Souza was unveiled. Freddrick D'Souza was a staff member and a football fan of Mahatma Education Society who passed away recently was given homage by players and spectators by keeping two minute silence and a black ribbon on their jerseys. MES Sports Control Board dedicated the tournament in the name of Late Mr. Freddrick D'Souza.

In the final Dr. Pillai Global Academy, Gorai beat Mahatma School of Academics and Sports, New Panvel by one goal (1-0). During the progression of the match Gorai team beat a strong contender of the title Dr. K. M. Vasudevan Pillai Campus by 1-0. In the second semi-final Mahatma School of Academic and Sports beat Dr. Pillai Global Academy, New Panvel 2-0.

A total 18 matches played in the tournament and Mr. LCD Singh, of DPGA Gorai adjudged the "Man of The Tournament" - second time in a row. The team Gorai retains the trophy in a great style and display of class soccer skill.
